Purpose: The Instructor role is an entry-level teaching position responsible for guiding students through classes, supporting their growth, and contributing to a positive learning environment. This agreement clarifies expectations, boundaries, and confidentiality during the Instructor term.
Term: This is an open-ended, paid agreement. Either party may end the arrangement at any time; however, once an Instructor is confirmed for a series within one month of its start, they are expected to complete it. Immediate termination may occur due to misconduct, failure to meet expectations, or policy violations.
Payment Terms: The Instructor will be compensated as agreed upon per class, or course basis. Payment details will be confirmed separately in writing via direct communication (e.g., email, DM, or text). Instructors are responsible for any applicable taxes or reporting obligations.
Expectations: The Instructor agrees to uphold responsibilities from the Hype Team Volunteer Agreement, actively learn and apply The Studio’s entry-level pedagogy, meet Instructor KPIs, and follow all Studio policies.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): The Instructor agrees to meet the expectations outlined in the Instructor KPIs, available at www.rhythms.studio/KPIs or upon request. If not met, the Studio may provide feedback, adjust duties, or end the engagement.
Policies: The Volunteer is expected to review and adhere to all of The Studio's policies as a condition of their participation. These policies, which form an integral part of this agreement, are available at www.rhythms.studio/policies or upon request.
Curriculum & Teaching Responsibilities: The Instructor is responsible for preparing and delivering quality classes, maintaining consistency, and adapting to student needs. Curriculum provided by The Studio must be followed unless otherwise approved.
Conduct & Professionalism: Romantic relationships with students currently enrolled in the Instructor’s class(es) are prohibited. Personal relationships between instructors must be disclosed. Physical contact is permitted only when necessary for instruction and must be respectful, appropriate, and follow The Studio’s SOPs.
Substitutes & Cancellations The Instructor agrees to provide reasonable notice in the case of absences and must communicate directly with The Studio to coordinate class coverage. The Studio reserves the right to assign a substitute or cancel a class if required.
Media Use: The Instructor acknowledges that their name, photo, and role may be publicly displayed on The Studio’s website and related platforms as part of formal leadership recognition. This inclusion reflects their active role within The Studio community.
Confidentiality: The Instructor will have access to proprietary methods, resources, and internal communications. These materials must remain confidential and may not be shared, reproduced, or distributed, as outlined in The Studio’s Confidentiality Policy. This obligation remains in effect even after the teaching engagement ends.
Liability & Assumption of Risk: Teaching and physical activity involve inherent risks. The Studio holds general liability insurance, but the Instructor is responsible for any additional coverage they may need. They assume full responsibility for their own safety while performing their duties.
Studio Representation: The Instructor is encouraged to share their role and teaching involvement at The Studio in a professional, positive manner. However, they may not speak on behalf of The Studio or act as an official representative without written permission. Activities that may conflict with the Studio’s brand, mission, or values are prohibited. The Instructor also agrees to avoid any actions, communications, or affiliations that could reasonably harm The Studio’s reputation or create a conflict of interest.
Non-Compete & Conflict of Interest The Instructor may engage in freelance or independent teaching outside of The Studio, provided that such activities do not interfere with their responsibilities or create a conflict of interest. The Instructor agrees not to solicit, recruit, or redirect any Studio students to external classes, events, or projects that may compete with The Studio. Use of The Studio’s name, branding, student base, or internal resources for personal or competing interests is strictly prohibited.
